Issue No. 20

InfoTrack and a Word refresh

Order InfoTrack searches from chat, and a refreshed task pane in the Word add-in.

Two updates in one. A new integration with InfoTrack, and a polish pass on the Word add-in.

InfoTrack integration

Parachute now connects directly to InfoTrack. Ask the AI for a title search, a company extract, a bankruptcy check, or any other search on your InfoTrack account, and it will gather the details, confirm with you, and place the order.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Billing stays with InfoTrack. You’re connecting your own InfoTrack account. Every search is billed by InfoTrack to that account, exactly as it would be if you ordered through their portal. Parachute doesn’t charge for searches or mark up disbursements.
  • You confirm before anything is ordered. Parachute reads back what it’s about to order so you can stop it before any cost is incurred.
  • Beta. The set of supported searches will expand as we extend coverage.

Head to Firm settings > Integrations, find InfoTrack, and hit Connect.

Word add-in refresh

The Word add-in task pane has been rebuilt around a single unified chrome. There’s a top bar with the active chat name, a recent-chats dropdown that’s searchable and capped at a sensible length, and inline rename so you can tidy up a chat title without leaving Word.

Recent chats now show what’s recent across your firm, not just chats tied to the document you happen to have open. The sign-in screen has been polished, the context switcher is visible in narrow task panes, and a handful of small layout issues have been fixed along the way.
